Do
you remember?

browser... in the grid of the browser
right click. Additional screens can
open!
Example: In
sales order, double click on the bill to in order
to open the customer browser window. In the grid
of the browser right click and a screen allowing
the select of the Companies, Customers, Suppliers,
Distance Locator. By selecting any option,
another screen will appear. If the distance
locator is selected, the Proximity Location screen
will appear.

Greetings!!!
We are all
tired of shoveling, driving in miserable
conditions, coping with getting in to work and
trying to do our errands.
Today, as
I am writing this, we are hit with another ice
storm after a snow storm yesterday. I took
the time to sit back and heard exactly nothing
outside. The area was completely quiet after the
storm. How beautiful the woods and trees
look!

Soon ... ALERE Accounting Version
7.0 |

The
development team at TIW has been busy the last
several months. We were told that the beta testing
of the ALERE Accounting version 7.0 is currently
under way with the new release scheduled by
the end of this quarter. Two new
modules along with numerous feature enhancements
for the rest of the modules our coming our
way!!! The new modules are the Commission and
the DRP (Distribution Resource Planning)
Modules.
Commission
Module
The
Commission Module allows rules to be established
to automatically calculate the commissions on
invoices based on
+
a specific sales representatives, a group of
representatives, or all
of them
+
a specific item or a group of items
+ a specific customer or group of
customers
Like
the pricing rules in the sales module, tiers will
be able to be created which can be applied to
control different levels of commissions!
Distribution Resource Planning
Module (DRP)
The
Distribution Resource Planning Module brings the
material planning capabilities in ALERE
Manufacturing into the ALERE Accounting. The
current sales orders, purchase orders, and
warehouse stock levels are taken into
consideration in order to calculate and
automatically generate recommended purchase
orders. This module will continue to be expanded
to address the needs of companies that do not do
manufacturing but have complex inventory and
distribution
requirements. |

you changed the oil in your car
lately? |
The
System Maintenance Agreement allows your business
to take advantage of the new enhancements. Taking
advantage of these enhancements can assist your
business in becoming more productive thus allowing
for growth in the future. The System
Maintenance Agreement is like buying insurance for
your car and also at the same time taking it into
the garage for a periodic tune up. Would you let
your insurance lapse or not change the oil in your
car? The car is a vital tool in allowing you to
get to work and perform necessary errands. Your
software is the vital tool in running your
business... invoicing customer, paying
vendors and keeping track of inventory just
to name a few.
Purchasing new hardware with new
operating systems while operating under an older
version of ALERE can be an issue. In some cases,
older versions of the ALERE Business Applications
which were released prior to Windows 7 may not be
able to run on the new releases of windows.
This is one of the many reasons, it is
important to maintain the SMA Agreements.
If you have an SMA, we will be
contacting you to schedule your implementation of
the new version as soon as it has been
released.

| Utilizing
the Sales Planning Option in the Plan Module of
ALERE Manufacturing? |
How
can it help my business? Need to get a specific
order out the door in a hurry? What is needed to
accomplish this task? The Sales Order Planning
option allows the selection of a specific sales
order and performs the planning for the purchased
and manufactured items on that order. The result
is a list of recommended purchase and/or work
orders for all the required components on the
sales order line items including the items
themselves
Select
the sales order in question. The number of lines
requiring either a purchase order or a work order
appears in the upper right of the screen. Select
the find button to list the items that may be
selected to inquiry if purchase orders or
work orders are necessary.
The
list of items appear. Select the items, hit
continue.

Select
Refresh and in this example 3 purchase orders are
recommended and can be automatically created from
this screen. They can be combined into one
purchase order if the supplier for the items
are the same.
