The
smell of fresh blooming flowers and seeing the
trees in bloom always gives the feeling of a new
beginning. Just as spring is a new
beginning , TIW 's announcement of their new
release has many new features, new modules and a
new product to give you the tools to grow your
business!!!

the release of ALERE Accounting Version 7.0
!!!! |

The new
release introduces two new modules and a new
product! The two modules are the Commission and
the DRP (Distribution Resource Planning)
Modules. The new product is call Data
Acquisition!!!!!

| Commissions |
|
The
Commission module can manage the sales commissions
process allowing you to designate who is eligible
to earn commissions. Rules can be
established by a specific sales representatives, a
group of representatives, or all of them, by a
specific item or a group of items, or by a
specific customer or group of customers. The
system determines who has earned a commission and
calculates the amount. A payable can be created
for those companies or individuals that are not
receiving payment through a payroll
system. |
| What
is the DRP Module? |
The
DRP (Distribution Resource Planning) Module is
utilized in determining what is needed to
replenish inventory at warehouses based on what is
in stock along with the current and future
demands. Sales orders can be planned to
check if there is sufficient inventory on hand to
meet their requirements. A list of purchase orders
is recommended. How will this help my
business? This module will reduce the need
to manually create purchase orders in order to
keep inventory stock up to required
levels. |

Acquisition |
Data Acquisitions integrates
into both the ALERE Accounting and
Manufacturing. A simple SCAN Button on the
Sales and Purchase screen activates the scanner.
The scanning is done in real time and is
interactive with the operator through a "prompt"
process. Item locations, lot numbers and serial
numbers are supported. Items can be scanned
into the entry of a sales order, utilized in
shipping or transferring items from one
warehouse to another, or the receiving of items on
a purchase order. All scanning is done in
real time thus allowing for accuracy and immediate
validation!
What
type of scanners can be used?
- A
wedge scanner or wireless scanner to ALERE via a
workstation
- Scanners
utilizing Terminal Services are also
accommodated!! Scanners using Terminal services
operate as a single
user.

is new in the existing
modules? |

Google Locator - the
ALERE Companies screen view allows a photo of a
company using Google maps! Find directions to a
company's location, find directions between two
companies or send directions on how to get to your
company.
Label Generation -
create labels for customers or
suppliers! Mass
Processing - The mass invoicing screen in
the Sales Modules has been expanded to two
additional functions. The first function allows
all sales type orders that are unreleased or
pending to be reviewed, selected and then mass
released as an active order. The
second allows a list of customer statements to be
created, reviewed and then mass emailed. This
process could be a considerable savings for your
company and would eliminate the monthly printing,
envelope preparations, and postage expenses
normally incurred with delivering customer
statements.
These are just a few of the numerous new
features in version 7.0!
