Preferences
on a Report:
When you run a report you can retain any of the
information and options you have entered. If you wish to
use the same options the next time you run the same
report, simply click on the Repeat icon. The choices you
made the last time the report was run on that computer
will be automatically entered on the screen.

| How can one
feature save your business dollars and
time? |
The end of the year is a good time to
reflect about siness practices utilized over the year. This year we saw
the release of ALERE Accounting 6.6 and Manufacturing
9.4. Many of you have the System Maintenance
Agreement and were able to update to the new
releases.
I need to ask, have
you implemented some of the features that have been
available to you since version Accounting 6.5? I was
discussing with a client about the ability to email
invoices. After reviewing the number of invoices sent
out via regular mail a week, the savings was
substantial. Not only were they saving the
postage, time for the person to print them, place
them in envelopes, and do not forget the paper being
used. Cash flow is now improved because your customer
receives the Invoice in minutes automatically as the
sales order is shipped. What a benefit!! This is
just one of the many benefits that has been introduced
in the new releases of these products! |

Going Green! |
 We would like to take this opportunity
to congratulate and share the success that one of our clients
has achieved. Buckman's, Inc. installed a solar energy
system which was completed June 1, 2010 and is one of the
largest solar energy systems in the state. Please click here and

Year End Is
Approaching |
Every
year we receive a couple of calls asking:
"What
do I need to do in ALERE for Year
End?"
Under
the General Ledger Module- Fiscal Periods option. A screen
appears showing your last set of fiscal periods. If 2010 is
not present, select ADD. A new record will appear with
2010 filled in. Select SAVE. A message will appear if the
General Ledger periods should be accepted. Select
"YES".
On
first day of the new year, the first person lucky enough to
sign into ALERE, will receive a screen which will ask to reset
YTD balances. This will reset the YTD purchases and
sales located under Manager Module, option Companies for
customers and vendors starting with date that appears on the
screen. Select OK.
