Timely Tips:

Many features exist in ALERE that can be overlooked in our day to day transactions. One of these awesome tools is the Executive Advisor under the Manager module. The Sales Graph tab on this screen emphasizes the sales comparing this year to last year. I find that the 2D bar Graph tells the story of the year.

ALERE Manufacturing v9.3 Released!

ALERE Manufacturing v9.3 features a new Multiple Material Transactions screen that has been added to the Transaction tab on the Work Order screen. This new function makes the process of issuing material on work orders a smooth and easy operation. How are you assigning the material of a Bill of material to a route? Now you can directly assign material from the BOM Treevision™  to a route step.

Year End Is Approaching!
 
Every year we receive a couple of calls asking:
 
What do I need to do in ALERE for Year End?
 
Under the General Ledger Module- Fiscal Periods option. A screen appears showing your last set of fiscal periods. If 2010 is not present, select ADD.  A new record will appear with 2010 filled in. Select SAVE. A message will appear if the General Ledger periods should be accepted. Select "YES".  
 
On the first day of the new year, the first person lucky enough to sign into ALERE, will receive a screen which will ask to  reset YTD balances.  This will reset the YTD purchases and sales located under Manager Module, option Companies for customers and vendors starting with the date that appears on the screen. Select O.K.
