Verifying the Age Receivable report against the Age Receivable General Ledger along with the Age Payable Report against the Age Payable General Ledger.
In training any accounting software, I always recommend to verify this information daily, and at minimum once a week!
Finding a problem is much easier if you are only reviewing a day versus several days or longer!

| ALERE Business Applications Release of Accounting Version 6.6! |
This release is packed with new functionality of existing  features to further streamline your business, one of which is in the Receiving Process!
Now a running balance is displayed as you select which items to receive! You can also change the item costs during the process of receiving and releasing a purchase order to a payable. A column showing what has been received has been added to the purchase order line information as an aid to understanding what has been received.
What about Printing Browsers? Now, you can print the information on a browser list with a simple click on the print button that has been added to every browser screen! Consider it "reporting on-the-fly".
We have received all the upgrades of the clients that have current SMA's.

What are PCI-DSS requirements?
Do you process credit cards? Over the years, we have seen companies storing credit card information in their system either in a specific field or in a note field.
Please be advised:There are new rules that take effect on July 1, 2010.
Important changes related to credit card processing, include:
- Changes in Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards taking place this summer.
- By July 1, 2010, credit card companies must ensure that software applications used by merchants to collect and/or store credit card information be Payment Application-Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) compliant.
We encourage you to educate yourself on PCI Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) and what steps are required to ensure your business is protected.
